Kōra – Branding for a Japanese restaurant

Kōra is born from the meeting point between calm and flavour. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of balance, the restaurant combines the aesthetic delicacy of traditional Japan with a modern, sensorial gastronomic experience.

The project begins with a clear concept: silence as flavour. In an age of constant noise, Kōra offers a pause — a space where every gesture, every texture, and every aroma finds its place.

The logotype, built from a sober, geometric typeface, is accompanied by a symbol representing a bowl: a vessel for what is essential.

The identity is built around a warm, balanced palette, where sand and kraft tones evoke Japanese handcrafted ceramics, and midnight blue adds depth and serenity. The burgundy seals introduce a subtle contrast that suggests tradition and attention to detail. The applications are clean, with generous breathing space that reinforces the sense of calm.

Every element seeks to convey serenity, balance, and honesty.

Kōra is not just a restaurant; it is a reminder that silence, too, can inhabit flavour.
