Pala y Viento – Branding for a padel club

Pala y Viento is much more than a padel club. It is a tribute to the sport’s nomadic origins, but also to the personal journey of its founders: a story of courage, momentum, and new opportunities.

The naming arises from the fusion of the literal and the symbolic. The “pala” represents tool, strength, and determination; the “viento” stands for guidance, movement, and destiny. Together, these words form an identity that speaks of play, sea, risk, and freedom.

The visual identity takes as its central symbol the figure of a man riding a fish, a metaphor for the journey and trust in instinct. An image that connects with the migratory past of padel, once played on Atlantic ships, and with the personal story of the club’s founders.

The colour palette combines a vibrant coral red, evoking the energy and passion of the game, with a deep violet that suggests elegance, introspection, and horizon. The Filson Pro typeface, in its bold and light versions, brings balance, presence, and clarity to every application.

Every element of the system, from the symbol to the modified “O” (suggesting the bounce of a ball), is designed to avoid sports clichés and build a brand with soul: both epic and approachable.

Pala y Viento is, at its core, an ode to movement: on the court, at sea, and in life.
